Inspired by my favorite Phoenix from Marvel

The large of the pair, and also one with an attempt at a background, is a mix of the mark that appears over Rachel Grey's eye when she uses her powers and the tattoo that was branded onto her back at some point when she was being hunted down for being the Phoenix.
The smaller one is one of my eraser stamps of the same mark over her eye. It's head looks disconnected because the original pencil I picked up to use was a color pencil and not lead/graphite pencil and thus it didn't leave any lines on the surface. Ah well. I'll know for next time.

Ravens and kitties

(I looked in the mirror and all that I saw was the purple, twisted Ravenclaw)
So, I put pen to speedy cut and drew it out as if I was going to be looking at the finished thing instead of doing a mirror image of the raven and R. /sigh
So now it prints backwards. -.-;;
I'm disappointed in myself for not realizing my mistake before I started to cut, and sadly it didn't occur to me until after I put ink on it and pressed it to paper and then peeled the paper away. Bad Sarabi.
I still like it though. I think it turned out nice despite being flipped the wrong way round.

As for this kitty, it was inspired by a sketch I did while on break a week or so ago. Poor thing is just exhausted and keeled right on over to face plant. I was originally going to do another sitting up kitty so there is wire in the neck for support, but then I remembered my doodle and I wanted to do this instead. =D

Tomorrow is a painting day for the sculpey things I baked today. Couldn't paint as my nieces were here and if I'm doing art stuffs they have to be right next to me the entire time. It's cute really, but dangerous when I have an xacto knife or some other blade out that I didn't get put away fast enough before they raced up. =/

Ah well, painting day tomorrow!!
