Ravens and kitties

(I looked in the mirror and all that I saw was the purple, twisted Ravenclaw)
So, I put pen to speedy cut and drew it out as if I was going to be looking at the finished thing instead of doing a mirror image of the raven and R. /sigh
So now it prints backwards. -.-;;
I'm disappointed in myself for not realizing my mistake before I started to cut, and sadly it didn't occur to me until after I put ink on it and pressed it to paper and then peeled the paper away. Bad Sarabi.
I still like it though. I think it turned out nice despite being flipped the wrong way round.

As for this kitty, it was inspired by a sketch I did while on break a week or so ago. Poor thing is just exhausted and keeled right on over to face plant. I was originally going to do another sitting up kitty so there is wire in the neck for support, but then I remembered my doodle and I wanted to do this instead. =D

Molding my army

One of these days I'll figure out how to get this ap to my my photos in in the order I want.

Meh.

Last weekend I made a 3D mini moonkin hatchling. About and inch across and 2 inches tall. Maybe the weekend before last actually? I don't remember now. =/

At any rate a friend like the little guy so much she suggested that I make a mold so that I can easily make copies for the 4 main color variations. She gave me a link to a store that sells little silicon mold making...thingies (I'll post it later) and so I got them in the mail and made my mold and can now start my moonkin hatchling army!!

The color variations will be tawny/brown, plum/grey, dark red/black and dark grey(dusty brown?)/lighter grey for Tauren, night elves, trolls and worgen.

I might remove the top most flares on the head IF I put the antlers on, all moonkin should have the superior horns like Tauren, but I'm not sure, I like the flares the way they are.

I should try to sell them on etsy...

edit: rearranged the images into the correct order.

Painted

And the end of clay kitty, now with spots and a face!

Successful

I got crazy glue and got my clay kitty's head attached and it hasn't come off again.

I also got my black cloth clipped back down so I'll put a stencil over the dirt size to get it cleaned up some.

I also want put some more on the 2nd image too to get some lighter areas on it too.

Tragedy in 2 acts

And clay kitty's neck gave out while baking. Going to crazy glue the head back on and paint it anyway to see how it looks.

...after I get crazy glue that is. We are apparently out.

In other news I have soda ash now for when I die the first of the 2 bleached areas. I'll be bleaching the 2nd one tomorrow & I'll be using a slightly different method.

Wish me luck!

Baking prep

Clay kitty is waiting for the over to be free after dinner. He is made out of an entire pack of sculpti minus the little bit that is acting as part of the crutch holding his head up.

If I read the directions right then he'll be in the hot box for 45 to 60 min because the body is roughly an inch and a half. The neck, tail, head and ears are so much thinner than I don't want to go longer than the hour.

It's crazy how crafty I've been feeling lately. Haven't wanted to do anything like this clay kitty in years. I'm feeling good. =)
