more etched glass

a present for a friend that is helping me with a few things. The box I ended up having to get to send other things down to her turned out to be bigger then I had intended, so now I’m trying to fill it up some more. ^_^;; oops
Thus, a candle holder (you put a floating candle in it…with water) and tada. I had a stencil from ‘08 when I made something else for another friend of the Iron Man face plate from the first movie. I double checked with friend 1 to see if it would be ok if I used the stencil again, and she said yes, and this happened.

Derailed detachment

So, when I was taking the train into the city for college I would draw in a sketch book and then post the doodles on deviantart. All of those pieces were titled "derailed detachment."
This girl was 90% done on the train, so the name stays.

I've been reading a fair few fan fics where the characters from any of my fandoms have their souls visible via wings. So, a random girl with wings to get it out of my system.

More sewing?!

I have/had a bunch of stuff to the left of my keyboard that I eventually need to finish painting, but am being lazy about it. So, they sit there and collect dust and get in my way…and I have a short stack of felt on my laptop also collecting dust…and some wire and chain…/lightbulb

Green bag looking thing!! I wasn’t originally going to do anything to the opening, but for whatever reason the Hulk popped into my head and went and burgled purple thread from my mother (I asked her for it, so I think she’s under the impression that she’s getting it back…sorry mom). Some quick stitches around the opening in a fairly haphazard way and finished. It can be haphazard because its the hulk that insipid me. =D 
The holes in the corners for the wire ended up being pierced with my xacto knife and then the wire was hooked through. Added the chain so it could hang and be really out of my way and done!

A new frontier

You should all be worried. I picked up needle, thread, and felt and turned them into something.

The brown one was my first attempt this passed Saturday, the 30th of march. The poor thing hung in there though.

The white and grey one was the one I did last night. My "teacher" told me there was a good bit of improvement. ^_^

I want to try another one, but I'm not sure if I want it to be another kitty type. Any ideas?

2 new paint jobs for Bag End and the party tree.
The entire lot I worked on over the weekend of the 9th and 10th of March.
And lastly, 3 shots of the 9 knives I did for the KWF that will and will not be going to acen. We even have a KWFb now. XD. He's an honorary member. Four of the knives still need their fronts clear coated, four others need touch ups where I had to hold them with my fingers, and one (the original) it totally done. 😸

The Bag End doors will get put on etsy. Two of them a getting pin clasps put on their backs...here's to hoping that that goes well.

...and back again.

So, here is the finished Bag End doors, now more then one, the scene of Bag End and the party tree that I made for a friend for valentines day because it makes me forever sad to read the posts she writes every year about bad things happening to her on the 14th.

Not this year, baby! Below is a screen shot of her reaction. ^_^ I think it also might have been my own best valentines day because of this. Nothing is better then getting to surprise a good friend and being rewarded with their utter happiness at the gift, 😸

That silver and black piece that is mixed in with the Bag End things is the ring that Thorin Oakenshield has in the movie. I need to fix the back up and then clean coat that and it'll be done.

I want to make things that represent Bifur and Bofur, but aside from Bofur's hat I'm not sure what to do. Ideas?

More clay bits

Here are some of the things I'm making for acen this may. The knives are for that. The other circle bits are the door to bag end. I'm going to see if any one shows any interest to them on etsy.

There are some secret things mixed in in the photo where all the knives are silvered, so I can't say what they are just yet. I need to have at least 2 of the things in these photos done by Monday. X.x they need to be mailed Tuesday!! I will not have them be late, damn it!

Dis

So I tried my hand at drawing a female dwarf from middle earth...the beard gets me stone walled.

Her name is Dis, and Dis is the only female dwarf ever named in all of the things Tolkien ever wrote. She is the sister of Thorin Oakenshield, and the mother of Fili and Kili.

I'm not sure why they say at the end of the book that the line of Durin was ended, because Dis is also from that line and she goes and remarries Andy has more children and shouldn't that mean that the line of Durin endured?

Of knives and doors

So, I've made the door to Bag End and a disk with a knife on it. I'm planning on putting bag end up on etsy, even made a mold of it. But it's a pain to get out with out messing up the door knob. =/

The knife-y one is for Acen this year. I'm making one for each of the people I'm meeting up with and 2 extra for people who can't go. The knife is for the Knife Wielding Fangirls, KWF, that a friend pulled me into some 10 years ago now. I'm the mid-Atlantic branch apparently. O.o;;

I hope my Acen friends will like the knives they get and I hope the door is well received in etsy, and by we'll received I mean I hope someone looks at it. =/ I really don't put popular things up on that site.

Not quite what i'd intended

I'd meant for it to be a fox, but either didn't cut enough wire, or made the over all body too long so the muzzle i'd wanted was sacrificed so that i wouldn't have to cut another, smaller, piece of wire to finish it.  I like how it looks in the end.  =)

Plotting

So my mother quite liked the tree and star I did for our tree and is now having me do trees for her siblings. I got the wire for them today, along with some other wire to see what else I can shape. ^_^

Present tags

The gifts I got of my nieces are much to big for any box or bag that exist in our house. I wasn't about to spend forever in some store trying to find something big enough either.

Thus I made these two tags. My nieces love flowers and feathers. The two things I have always failed at for drawing. Mercifully I don't think I did too bad on these.

They are now tied to the huge plus hues via ribbon around their necks.

I'm hoping to be the awesome aunt tomorrow.

Holiday things

The two wire ones are obvious. The tree and the star. The bowl thing has two foxes on it in my tricky kitty style. I also ended up putting the initials of it intended recipient on it in the end too.

Merry Xmas

Since I’m going to be rather late with sending out my Xmas cards this year, I decided to post my card art here and at blogger.

Since rise of the guardians has taken over my mind I decided to have Jack go after one of my tricky kitties.

The shield on the kitties rear is in reference to captain America. Tony refers to him as a “Capcicle” at some point in the Avengers.

So jack turned my kitty in to a “catcicle”.

Demon ...healer?

My friends D&D character. She asked me to draw her and this is what I came up with. She's a Tiefling Cleric…so a fire demon thing that uses holy magic. She's the healer. oh, the irony, because in the end she'll really just want to watch the world burn…and her group mates too.
